Alternaria
After water damage, alternia is more likely to appear. It is black, brown or gray.
Aspergillus
This is your most common household mold. It comes in grey, brown, green, white, yellow or black.
Cladosporium
This type of mold tends to grow in cooler temperatures. It’s black or olive-green.
Penicillium
This type of mold appears in insulation, wallpaper and carpeting. Normally it manifests in a blue or green color and comes with a musty odor.
Stachybotrys Chartarym
This is black mold. Black mold produces mycotoxins. It appears after flooding and produces a strong musty odor.
