Not only can mold grow on dust itself, it can grow on walls, wood, paper products, insulation and many other places that dust also gathers.<\/p>\n<p>Certain molds have different characteristics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cladosporium is brown, green or black.<\/li>\n<li>Aspergillus is green, brown, yellow, grey, black or white.<\/li>\n<li>Penicillin may be green, blue or white.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One of the ways that you can tell mold from dust is by where it gathers. If you are looking at a horizontal surface, remember that gravity pulls dust to the top.
